Wow, you are running your lights much higher than I am, maybe that is my problem, too weak with my lights? Your flow is also probably higher than mine, so that can't be it. I run purigen, phosgard and some carbon in bags, but not enough to strip water of nutrients, as I still am battling GHA. I had a few other issues along the way with this tank, primarily Dinoflags, but should have bounced back by now. Did you start with all dry rock and sand? I just used live sand but dry rock. I am having a hard time growing coralline, maybe again light related. Thanks for posting reply, I will take any help I can get.
not trying to highjack the thread but I have the same tank and have had awesome success with the following tank setup/sump configuration:

Chamber 1 = Eheim Jager 150W heater 78 degrees
Chamber 2a = inTank media basket w/2" of basic floss in top tray, 1 bag (100ml) of Phosguard in middle tray, 1 bag of ChemiPure Blue hanging below middle tray
Chamber 2b = inTank refugium tray full of Chaetomorpha macro algae lighted by Inovative marine AUQA Gadget Chaetomax Refugium LED. Have to remove 25% of the Chaeto bi-weekly as it grows so fast.
Chamber 3 = OEM return pump (for now), 1 bag (100ml) of Phosguard in place of sponge filter (overkill but works), Green Killing Machine UV sterilizer (just recently added as preventative measures to aid against water born pathogens...cheap insurance)

My Nitrates consistently hover between 3-8ppm (Red Sea master Reef test kit) and phosphates are undetectable with a Hanna ULR Phosphorus Checker (HI736). I do zero water changes as well. I simply top of with RO/DI and dose dKH and Calcium regularly along with weekly dosing of Kent's Marine Essential elements (2.5ml/wk) and Lugol's Solution a.k.a. 11.835% iodide/iodine solution (1 drop....yes, only 1 drop/wk)

Have stock LED lighting (for now) and replaced the return pump outlet with a Vivid Creative Aquatics random flow generator. Have removed wave maker and 2 nano power heads since installing RFG with great success.

Hope this helps....

Very nice tank! Kudos to both of you! I am going to put some macro algae (halimedia) in display to help combat GHA. I use both phosban and puragen, May switch to chem blue. I am focusing more on my 120 right now and may just make this quarantine tank. Just has been a struggle with GHA since cycle. I am gonna go bare bottom as well, my substrate is fine sand, hate it!

Monthly update! I went topless with Hydra 26 and all seems to be going well. I got a good deal on a pair in anticipation of upgrading to a bigger tank this summer and couldn't resist trying them out. Seems like overkill but I'm running them pretty low and all corals are doing great.

I took some top down shots during a water change tonight....

Amazing! Hoping my cube comes close to yours one day:) How's that angelfish acting? Thinking of adding one to my tank one day.

Steve's led upgrade. Wayyy better than the stock lights.
We are running the same lights, what percentage and schedule are you running your ights at? I done a slow acclimation to 42% and had to back them down. Intense lights.

I ended up at 90/25 after a few months. Coral growth took off after I got above 65% blues.

What softail do you have? I have a 2000 FXSTS!

June update. My zoa don't seem to like the new lights and SPS growth has slowed but overall the tank is still doing well! I'm struggling to find a good setting/schedule that keeps everything happy. Changes come so slowly with lights it's a long process to find a happy medium for the tank. With the Steve's led I had white and blue settings. The hydra 26 have so many light spectrums it's a bit intimidating.

I'm also moving at the end of the month and plan on getting into a larger tank at the same time so I expect to struggle with it for a few more months.

Your tank still looks great! I broke down my Biocube and subsequently converted it to a bare bottom tank. I added a fuge with chaeto in second section of inTank rack and added an innovative marine media reactor in chamber 3. It fits snug and interesting now my Tunze 9001 fits better in chamber 2. I had been fighting GHA for months in this tank, so now it is more of a holding/quarantine tank for corals and fish.

Question though, why did you dump Stevesleds? I have the same lights but have been wondering if the white luxeons in this rig generate too much red spectrum and thus have promoted GHA. Too my eye the white lights look very red. I was considering the AI prime or Kessil a360 and removing hood or modify it with new light.
