You have lost of options and if you DIY you have the best parts available at less than factory fixtures.

Revhtree called it you will need three. Maybe two for softies and LPS...

If you go factory, Apollo is the best quality fixture for the price. Its above the Generic Chinese Fixtures...No Specific names mentioned...

Acan is also great but more for the high end user who wants the best look without DIY.

Radion is also a quality well thought fixture but you could have the same results with DIY at a lower cost.

Also something to think of when asking "how many" is where your braces are. Like in my standard 75 there is a center brace, so I would lose light with 3 fixtures like I want...

Just something to think about

I built a frame out of Aluminum. 1" L angle for the width of the tank and 3/4" L to hold the 1" together. Used aluminum rivits to hold it together. I did 4 pieces in width as I also mounted the power supplies in the canopy. After all was assembled, spray painted it black plastic coat. Added 2 1x2 inch pieces of wood inside both ends of the canopy for the frame to rest on, this gave me the ability to move the lights forward and aft as well as tilt them slightly if I want to give a better angle on the aquascape. I don't have pictures to upload from here but will try to get some later tonight.

I disagree with the radion peeps a bit. I have an Ai sol blue, Max spect mazarra, and evolution. I think if u have the coin the mazarra is absolutely unbeatable. Just look into mazarra a bit. :-). Hope that helps.
