Led light mounting heights

Does the recommended mounting height for the kessil 360 8 inches and AI hydra 12 inches take in to account for tank height?

I have a 116 gallon corner bowfront that is 50 inches wide in the front and 30 inches tall. It has been recommended to me to get a AI Hydra 64.

This tank will be a LPS Softie tank and has a hood that allows for 6-8 inch light mounting height.
