Okay my question is do you have to have a full spectrum or could they be just whites blues and royal blue and UV leds.

I should have told more about my setup 60 gal cube I'm using a Chinese evergrow fixture thinking of a full up grade to a 90 gal.

Whites, Blues and Navy Blues are plenty.

If zoa colours are important, the the violet range does play a role. Getting good colour is fine with B-RB-CW, but many reds require 405nm and other pigments benefit from the 410-430nm range.
