It never occurred to me to post a picture of him when he is not flashing, for ID purposes.
Here is a non flashing picture of him. Can anybody help in narrow down the region where he is from?

Looks like an Indonesian specimen to me...

Exquisitus complex cannot get any more complex . But I agree with TJ @eatbreakfast - looks like Indonesian . I would expect it to get a deeper yellow dorsum in terminal phase .

As @evolved said , I don’t know if anyone who has kept it long term as it feeds on stony coral polyps in nature .
Not to disappoint you but it’s not an easy species by any means to maintain

Camera shy so best i can get, other side is more dashed lines, store had no clue either but i liked coloring and interaction with its tank mates.
