The freckled hawkfish doesn’t have the white band in its forehead. I thought it was this orange Pygmy basslet https://fishybusinessaquatics.com/fish/basslet/orange-pygmy-basslet-serranus-annularis/ or this naoko wrasse https://fishybusinessaquatics.com/fish/wrasse-reef-safe/naokos-fairy-wrasse-cirrhilabrus-naokoae/Yeah, it's a hawk fish and I was thinking Paracirrhites forsteri as well.
It's a forster's hawkfish. They DO have a white band on the forehead...Need help ID this wrasse (as what I was told):
Thank you in advance!

Yes, that's melanurus. And it will probably go terminal male "in time".Melanurus, yes? This wrasse is large 3.5 inches, larger than many full color Terminal Melanurus male. TIA
When will he loose his baby spots. I am anxiously await for him to turn full terminal male.
Here she was when I first got her less than a year ago. Less than 2 inches. Thanks again

That's cf cyanopleura (sometimes called cf solorensis). This fish has caused me some confusion trying to id it. Either cf. Cyanopleura or female Solorensis from what I can make out.
Thank you buddy, in other words it's a mongrel that could be bits of both Haha. Cross breeding wrasses, have they no consideration for us fish keepers? That's cf cyanopleura (sometimes called cf solorensis).
