Lighting for chaeto

I have a HOB refugium that came with white LED lights. I have a chunk of chaeto in the HOB. Would grow lights like the ones in the below link be good for it...or would they promote algae?

That would work great :) I don't see anything about water resistance though, so just make sure it can't and doesn't get wet ;)

I have had massive amounts of chaeto and macro growth with the cheapest lights. Go for it.

Does anyone actually make a water resistant light? I think if you dunked a AI prime fuge it would be toast.

I'm lighting mine with a 16watt 3000K "38PAR" LED (no it's not 38 "PAR"). It seems to have almost doubled in under a week... I am not quite sure... I want to get a new bulb though because I think it was grown with something else. I should ask the person I got it from.
