So I'm in the planning stages of my tank. Its a 45 tall hex front, approx 24 inches deep. It has a fully enclosed top. Now I know lighting is a big piece of the puzzle when it comes to a successful tank when growing corals, which of course is a must.

Here is what I'm looking at getting for this setup.

Radion XR30 Gen 4. I've read nothing but good reviews on this light and looks like going rate for a used one is around $500. Would this be a good option, or should I save and get the newest Gen 5? A new Gen 5 is around $900.

I don't mind investing in a good light, just want to best value for my dollar.

The difference between the 2 fixtures is almost insignificant, at least in terms of the light they produce. Save you money and get the less expensive one.
