Lineatus wrasse care

So maybe towards the end of next week i'll be picking up my cirrhilabrus lineatus. I think i've pretty much got every little detail I need to know about them down. I already own a cirrhilabris rubrisquamis and im suspecting the lineatus wont be any harder to care for consider the lineatus ate the first day at the store. basically im just asking for any other tips/advice from anyone who owns an expensive wrasse :). dropping $200 on a fish in while your in highschool isnt the easiest lol. thanks in advance.

No real special care or him....good water quality, peaceful tankmates, just like most of the cirrhilabris family.. Good luck with him, post some pictures up when you get him home.

Yeah, no real special care required outside the norm for Cirrhilabrus wrasses.

However, you may have issues with the Rosy Scales wanting to fight.

I figured that much just had to be sure, thank you :). He will be in QT for a minimum of 4 weeks though im sure he'll do great.

Also I plan to use a acclimation box to inside the tank so just in case any of the tank mates want to beat on him they cant. hopefully that is not the case. All of my fish are extremely peaceful and have never showed signs of aggression.

I've had three and all three died. The pair died from a velvet attack in my tank ($400 pair from PIA), the other from a swimming bladder issue.

Both issues I've taken steps to prevent in the future.

yes for this reason I plan to QT, I am also very good friends with the LFS manager so the fish is being held for me as long as id like. I do not detect and swim bladder issues with this fish. I suspect if there were issues he'd have trouble swimming properly correct?

Mine didn't show up for over a month down the road. Could have been bacterial infection though, which is why I'll treat deep water fish with EM-Pro moving forward.
