Hi all,
Been a few years since posting here as I completely and totally fell out with this hobby due to a number of personal reasons, but alas I am determined to come back and learn more.

My phosphates are also totally out of whack (maxed out on hanna ULR), I have RowaPhos in the back of tank sump. Any other ideas to reduce this?
Nitrates are sitting at around 2.5 which has left me utterly perplexed.

One of the reasons I became frustrated with the hobby is the tank I was advised to begin with, an Aquanano 80 AIO system (130L/35Gallon). Great beginner system, but has 0 room for growth. For example my protein skimmer sits loudly and proudly in the tank...
So the other advice I'm looking for at this time, is whether or not I should look into upgrading my tank? I would be putting a new tank back into the same space (Red Sea Reefer 250/300 is what I'm leaning towards as there aren't many options here in Ireland, so any and all tips regarding upgrading would be appreciated). Or should I continue my learning journey with the current tank for now.

Sam

Do you have room for a sump on your tank or no?
Also You'll get mixed opinions about the Red Sea Reefer. I like those tanks and think they are good tanks. Just be sure to get the G2+ version with the reinforced front seam.

No unfortunately 0 room for a sump, and no real plumbing opportunities for one either.
Yea I've seen the mixed reviews on RedSeas, but unless I want to get another AquaOne or Freshwater first tank they're my only option.

If you want to truly be happy, and since you have experience, I suggest to build your own tank. Buy a regular rectangle shape tank, drill it, plumb it, fix the sump exactly how you want with the equipment you want. I've never been a fan of AIO tanks.

I'd run away from RedSea, I personally did.

Your skimmer is really **IN** your display? If that limited on room I'd be trying to research different filtration options that work better for this setup... I can't help here since I've never run one like you have, but there are thousands of combos out here for filtration to not have to deal with a skimmer

Yup, skimmer is fully in the display :grinning-face-with-sweat:
Takes 1/3rd of the left wall of the tank.
