My pump is also silent. I read that you cannot have it facing straight out, that you've got to angle it some otherwise it makes a noise but like you guys said...it's nothing compared to the sound of my MP40.

1. How many would be best for a standard 125 gallon.
2. What controllers are they compatiable with

Hey Matt. I saw that no one answered your question (I think). A 125 is 6' long isn't it? I'd get AT LEAST two, if not three. One for each side and then one for the back.

I don't know much about the controller issue but I do know that they heavily discussed that in the thread on RC. You think you had it bad reading this thread, go look at that one! I read the entire thing and I was HUGE.

Well, I just have to disagree, buddy. No biggie. I have one in my 120 at 24W in addition to an MP40 and I could easily see putting another one in there. I happen to like a ton of flow though.

In a 180 I wouldn't do less than two and would very likely have three, possibly even four.

The ocean isn't exactly a calm place, ya know?

Like I said though...just a matter of opinion. He could always order two and then add more if it's not enough flow.

A splitter may be something that comes out at a later date.

One for each, unless you have them ran by rkl or reef angel w/ the patch cable. Don't know the whole details but its on the 70+ pages on RC.

I didnt read the whole thread but in case it hasnt been mentioned, reef angel is selling the wp-40 with patch cable for 120. I talked to the guys over there and the reef angel can control different wave modes and the speed by itself. No variable power supply neccessary or the generic controller that comes with it.
