Hey everyone :)

Bought this LPS from the store, they said it was a goniopora but i cant find any similar images googling goni species. can anyone ID it?

also I may have added him to the tank too soon. He's lost some polyps and is pretty retracted, looking quite miserable. and he has a lot of grown goop all over him that i cleaned off but it all came back. Fish store insisted its not Brown Jelly Syndrome (otherwise their whole frag tank would be infected) but it is in fact just diatom growth.
in any case im just after some tips on what i can do to care for the little guy and make sure he's getting everything he needs to grow

This was taken right up against the glass, i cant get any closer then that

Looks like Goniopora to me, nice chunk of it too. Amazing coral but not so hardy. My experience with them is stable parameters is key
