So general bubble tip nem question.
Hubbs got me a rock with one on it. It’s a tiny thing, when it opens it’s around dime sized. It’s white, and has been since bringing it home(the 19th). Was from Petco and we all know they have the white lighting. They said “it was born here) and I’m not sure if it was actually born or split off the adult.) my lights are mostly blues, and it doesn’t get full blast.
So anyhow, I know the lights can sustain it. Im just wondering about when it should show what color it actually is? Would it be white from being bleached or is that how they are when babies? I have it in the Shu box in the rock it came on. Seems happy there for the most part.

Nitrates between 10-25(salifert) possibly lower, cause Dino’s and it’s always the same number even after waterchanges. phosphates 0.03( salifert) salinity 1.024. No clue on others as I don’t have the tests for those.

Morning! So the Dinos have been Identified. Ostreopsis. Those are easier ones to rid, yeah? I’ve a lot of reading to do today.

Lunch break consisted of blowing the rocks off (I try to do so every other day at least so the dinos don’t irritate the nems too bad) and dosing some vodka, turning the skimmer off and feeding some brine shrimp.

I’ve asked the kiddo for some pods and phyto for my birthday, hopefully they will help. Reading up on a Facebook group files section says they will help by adding some biodiversity. Wish I know what to “feed” phyto other than the fertilizer I see sold. If only it was as easy as freshwater green water lol.

another thing I did was took some construction paper to cover the side where the window shines in. Since it’s winter time the sun shines in there more than the summer. Whites are not off but way down because supposedly I needed to reduce them. It’s also not that dim, nor that blue. Once the UV arrives, it’s game on!
