The wall idea is exciting! Sounds I love an island(kinda what I had) but the pillar and shelf seems like they would be great for things.I like wrapping around but keeping swim space. For me, I'd probably do about 10"-12" in the back and 6"-7" on the sides or I'd do a 16"*12" triangleish in the middle of the tank or a nice island maybe 10" around by 14" tall in the middle, a pillar in the back corner on one side, and a wall on the other side with a few shelves connecting the three pieces.
I wouldn't worry too much about dosing until you have had a chance to watch it for a few weeks. After figuring out usage, decide if it's enough to warrant dosing with a doser or by hand.Since this build thread is technically for this tank, let’s add some stuff about it lol.
Current pics. As per Waterbox instructions I have a few inches of RODI water in the bottom and have been keeping it sealed with seran wrap to keep the humidity up and the seals wet. I’ve done the same in the sump :)
Aquired a bag of sand yesterday. It’s not the same grain size as the other so maybe no blowing issues this time around. The return pump will be reused and the old ATO as well.
Rock, powerheads and a skimmer are in the plans. I’m not sure about dosing? If I’m going high light will I need to? And if so, what?
And yes the Natura icon is that beautiful.![]()
