Two things delivered yesterday by secret Santa’s :D

I have to figure out which was sent by heathens and cronies and which by R2R lol.

Also today my copepod rock should arrive by Dinkins. It’ll probably get stuffed in the 35 since it would be the only rock in the 70 and idk if that’s a smart idea to set it up with one bag of sand and one three lb rock :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Anywho pics of stuffs and will be once I get home this afternoon. All of it was super generous and I am extremely grateful.

Also now I need a reef dos for the fancy color tubes lol.

Mystery package out for delivery today, delayed from yesterday. And my Dinkins was also delayed due to UPS not picking it up. Actually that one may be a blessing in disguise, as it’ll be here tomorrow instead of today. It’s live rock with copepods, and everyone’s working today. Temps are cold, so probably not great to be sitting in a porch for a couple hours. Tomorrow I will (hopefully) be home all day and can use that as my excuse :D

Working on the SS for Regular R2Rer and I got so flustered yesterday I rage painted over it. Not like I’m in a time limit. Sigh. Oh well I can use that as an excuse to also stay home too.

Also since I am bored and sitting in silence I’ll bore y’all with what’s going on tank wise (yet again) and my plans.

First off the 35. I’m pretty much done with it equipment wise and stocking wise because I don’t see anything (other than CUC) fitting nicely in with who’s in there. They seem to be at peace. I do however want to try out a zoa rock garden maybe? Some pulsing Xenia is something I’ve wanted for a very long time also. Perhaps some button polyps or mushrooms. d absolutely love a chalice but I need to look up care. Seems the dinos are on the way out. I turned some white on the kessil yesterday cause just blues annoy me.

The 70 is something I’m still planning. I’ll have to ask the hive minds of cronies and heathens and everyone else what they think would be good additions on this. I do know I’m going to work in getting that ioaoi skimmer (that’s so hard on my dyslexia lol) and I’ll probably give the SCA skimmer to a local aquarist.

I also am thinking about moving my 9 gallon flex to the 15 gallon stand. (It’ll replace the 5 gallon on the bottom) Something I might regret. It’ll be hard to do maintenance because the lid clearance will not be much. Maybe, maybe not. Mainly because…

I want to get the 20 long out of here. It’s not that I hate it, it just isn’t a nice tank. The stand is nice, holds the tank well. Hit the tank itself has hard water stains and I don’t have the strength to scrub them all off. For a free tank it’s ok. But also having to prop something on top to keep jumpers in is annoying and I’ve discovered that I do forget to slide that back in place. Luckily no jumpers yet but also I haven’t left it open for that long; o discovered it about 10 mins after feeding. My plan for this one is to replace with the Eden. If I can come up with the money. Once the Eden comes and I set that up, the 20 long with the stand, lid and even the light system and sponge filters will be offered up locally like the skimmer. It was free to me in all aspects (sans light) so I’ll just find someone locally looking for a setup. Once replaced I’ll actually have an actual scape instead of a ton of moss wood tossed in haphazardly. I also need to get the pallifina numbers down as I’m planning to get some macs come spring. I won’t have room for them all. Too many tanks as it is hah

The pallifina are: Bloo, and that one’s mama, and then these are the offspring :face-with-tears-of-joy: Really too many in there to know who is who except for Bloo. He’s an old man. He’s about 10 years old. And always brooding.

Well this sucks. Not Dinkins fault at all, as they were promised it would be here today but, UPS says the 10th  IDK how the copepods will do, hopefully it’ll all be ok. I texted Dinkins (probably won’t get a response I forgot it’s Saturday) and asked if I should place in a bucket instead of my tank as a just in case upon arrival.

Get up this am to a text from Dinkins saying order confirmed. Yesterday I was looking on the site at other things and I had a sudden sinking feeling that I accidentally ordered something and frantically checked.

No, they are sending another rock because UPS didn’t deliver on time. Guys, this is the customer service other places should strive for. I never expected this. They definitely didn’t have to do this.

Happy Sunday all. Morning shot of the 35 it’s not this blue and dark, I’m just too lazy to grab the lense. Nothings quite open because the light literally just came on.

Today’s agenda: paint. Let paint dry. While paint dries laundry. Then paint. Let paint dry, via facebooking or forum browsing. Then paint.

My hands are feeling nice today so I’m going to try and get the background done. I changed my mind in the color, and am going a lovely Bluey purple. I’m thinking if finding an old fine tip marker and adding certain “details”. It’ll be much different than my usual style. I just fed with a solid colored fish in flourescent it’ll be easier to convey the layout.

Can’t show, it’s my SS gift. I’m running out of time so I can’t get as picky as I usually am with what I’m doing. I’d repaint it 50 times otherwise.

Well. Looks like I’ll be rehoming the pallifina, most likely all of them. I noticed upon cleaning the glass that there’s tons of bubbles under the silicone. Sadly I don’t have the funds for their upgrade and I can’t hold off on the hopes I win a tank. I can’t afford a leak and these guys have literally nowhere to go here. There’s way more along the sides than what was on the 29. I’ll have to feel the bottom seal to see if it’s the same.

While some wouldn’t worry over this, I do.

for reference, this is the 29 gallon I had. I replaced it with the 35.2.

29 filled. You can see the bubbles slightly.

Front. I know for a fact it was a ticking time bomb. Now I have this on the 20 long:

And no, resealing isn’t an option for me. First off I have nowhere for them to go for 36 hours while drying, or the ability to take it apart to do the reseal, not anyone I trust to do it.

I’ll just rehome them and give the tank and stand away like unplanned to do after the upgrade.

Snacklerock today! ❤️

I’m wondering… I have a bag of regular IO salt. And less-than-half a bucket of IO reef crystals. Should be ok to dump the bag in, yeah? Just to decrease clutter. I have a literal hallway and an unused shower full of absolute junk that needs to be condensed and figured, why not start here? lol.

Awesome! I figured it’s a little different but same brand, so technically was ok. But wanted to ask the brain power here before XD.

Also I’m a quarter tempted to dump sand in the 70, add some salt and the second copepods rock lol. I have to see how lorge they are. Running out of room in the 35
And only a quarter cause I’m also not sure if it would be a lot of trouble when I finally get the rest of the rock and the other bag of sand.
