@LadyMac
Maybe these will work? I have a whole bag of full of them. PM me your address and I can send you some. Meant for cable but might work if you put a couple of them on. Peel off backing and stick on. Put zip ties through slots on sides and secure.

The problemis this isn’t the back of the tank but the side. And I have paper covering it to keep light from the window blocked so I can’t tape the mount nor use stickies.

This post should help. One thing I didn't see mentioned, plug it into the actual outlet in the wall, not a power strip outlet.

No worries, I appreciate it! Bummer on no car. You’ll find the right one soon enough. Nothing wrong with shopping around.

I’d share the mess I have to go through but it’s honestly embarrassing hah

So how many powerheads do I absolutely have to have on a 24”x24” system?

I only ask because one of the spares is having some issues with the power port (the part the cord plugs into the controller at) and I fee it’s a bit unsafe. I don’t have another spare. That would put me to one powerhead on the system. If one’s ok, where is the best placement?

I only think you need the powerheads to keep the Dinos down and for corals. if you have enough flow for whatever corals you have in there then you should be ok!

Powerheads are usually low voltage so not as dangerous as say AC.

ADHD has me hyperfixating on the AI lights. It’s annoying me because I’m wanting to see stuff for the fw and asking has gotten me hardly anything.

I’d almost do my own YouTube review on them just so it’s out there lol.

Ignore my various ramblings, I’m bored. lol carry on.

That being said, I think a grow and a glow for the reef at 21” each and a fresh 21” as well as a smaller fresh for the ten would be set. That would replace my current USA R24 and my current USA serenes.

Did you get the stray voltage checked?
Still looking for the meter. Didn’t have a chance to check at the kiddos house because my grandson wasn’t feeling well. He was clingy all day, bless him.

So I haven’t found my meter. However my brother stopped by with his. He tested it and said all was fine, no stray voltage. I didn’t ask any specifics so I’m guessing that him just saying that means all ie well.

This would be a perfect spot for an aquarium:

This is at the kiddos house. I’ve entered a contest for the Eden, another Waterbox lol. This one is a fresh water centered tank with a decent lid already in place.

My thought process is, since the grands snoozing currently and I’m left alone with my brain and nothing else to hyper focus on.. is that if I ever get the Eden I’ll replace my mini 10. The mini 10 has a shorter stand and is quite sturdy. I believe all of waterboxes stands are around three feet tall and while that’s nice it’s not ideal for a two year old to view. I can add cabinet braces to the back of the ten gallon stand in case he touches it.

He wants a little reef. I know I’m struggling so hard on mine but maybe a little one with a clownfish and a shrimp and some hermits would be a great little starting place for him. What y’all think? I’d want to probably go with macro algaes mostly and maybe corals as he gets older.

Also… I found in marketplace someone local selling an RO Buddie and tank for 40 bucks lol. Tank isn’t great but that RO Buddie is nice. It’s what I use :p

Even if I can’t get the tan for him down here I’d like to plan something. I get absolutely bored out of my skull during the mornings and nap time and find myself wanting to just sit and watch some fish swim. That’s my comfort place lol. Plus he enjoys videos so I know he would love one of his own. I’d just move the tan here now if I didn’t have the albis and Toph in there. Early morning thoughts and ramblings lol. (I do this a lot)
