I signed a release, so Bulk Reef Supply will post it on their site. It should be up soon - I just got off the plane two hours ago, so it might be up now. Haven't checked.

It was about coral coloration, and parameters that can affect reflectance/fluorescence.

Coral coloration, including potential effects of UV/spectral qualities, light intensity, pH, temperature and metals on reflectance/fluorescence. Proteins found in several 'pigment' clades discussed.

There aren't many easy answers, and what is applicable to one protein is not to another. This talk could have easily gone on all day and more. I did the best I could given the time constraints imposed. I'll get this written up and am thinking it'll go 50 pages in order to expound on info presented. Maybe more. Don't want anyone to think that a 30-minute presentation will answer all questions.

I have to say one of the things that surprised me once I started digging into this (mainly through your posts and papers really) was the range across which the same species of corals grow. I mean in terms of depth and therefore light.

Sorry . I did not either understand this joke. It was a joke or...…. Please explain for us dumb people from the outside.

I´m sitting in Hungary - a day after visiting a Hungarian wedding (a friends daughter). Can´t find the link at BRS - if someone have it - please post it because I have to restart my brain - you know the day after the day before :) :)

Here in the United States we still have live people in banks to process transactions. These “people” are called “bank tellers”. Make deposits, withdrawals, transfer between accounts, credit card and mortgage payments. We are slowly transitioning customers to alternatives for their banking needs. One of these alternatives is the automated teller machine(ATM). From my understanding, Europe has completely moved to ATM’s. Here in the United States you typically only see Baby Boomers or Generation X inside banks using bank tellers. I hope this helps. BTW, greetings from the East Coast of the United States (Maryland). I´m of "after the war Baby Boomer generation" :) I know what a bank teller do (in spite that I have not use any since 1992 :) First I did my bank transfers through ATM and phone - since 1999 by internet. Nowadays I do not either need the cash for support´s of the black holes named children :) I just send it by the phone :))

It was the context I did not understand - but thank you for the explanation.
