Maculiceps Tang with Ich?

I recently had a shipment of Blue tang and this maculiceps tang from Marine collectors. Ive had them both in separate acclimation boxes however after having them since Friday afternoon im beginning to worry about these white spots on the head of the tang. Can someone help diagnose this??

Tangs are a must with quarantine as they are the one grouping most susceptible to getting ich and velvet and while posting video, start up a sterile quarantine tank. If ich, this fish and others in with it will need to be placed in a separate treatment tank and treated with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25 for a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored with a Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off and with any other occupants exposed, they too should go into quarantine
A quarantine tank can be as simple as a tank from a second hand store or a starter kit from Walmart which most of the needed essentials.

Pictures would be helpful - In any case - with or without pictures of our guests about what your fish might have - the goal of acclimation boxes is the acclimate the fish after quarantine - after doing so. You should quarantine your fish. However all of that said (which doesn't change) - please send white light pictures

So I bought these fish through Marine Collectors who quarantine fish before they ship them. I waited about 2 months since purchase before they contacted me about delivering them this Friday. An oversight on my part shouldve setup an observation tank instead of assuming the fish are 100% healthy.

They are housed in the acclimation boxes so my Sailfin isnt aggresive towards them.

While it may have ich, the most prominent issues are mucus plugs and possibly skin tags from being netted / transported. It’s also pretty thin.

I would still give it a standard quarantine;

Here is a video I think is better quality. It looking more like scrapes or mucus plugs and the only spots I see are concentrated near the mouth, above the eyes, and a larger speck on its dorsal fin.

Why is it in an egg crate box? That can be pretty rough if the fish runs into when frightened?

My sailfin would probably nip it to death if it wasn't in the cage. What do you recommend for a acclimation box?

I have the Maculicep Tang in a 20 gal quarantine, no treatment yet. Looks somewhat weak but is eating all the nori and mysis i give.

I use either soft nets on a frame or flexible black plastic screen called Nitex. I’ve just seen so many fish injure themselves on crate. I think it’s because they can see through it, but when they try to nose past it, the sharp edges can damage their face and snouts.
