I have my new DIY Sump and would like to try to use the most natural filtration as possible. My question is I would like to drop some mangroves in the sump. What works, what are the failures, I am guessing I need a light? Should I go with black or red. some many decisions to make.

Can't help but curious as well. Tagging along
I have seen a couple of post out on the line:)(online) but what I am looking for is if member have or have used mangroves and what result they had. I saw them in the sump at my LFS, they are gone and I keep forgetting to ask why they are gone and if it really worked.

there is one vote for Red Mangroves
