I’m in Rochester area.

I think since lfs is a big part of our community we should try to get them involved. Maybe we can do rotating visits to different LFS

I do like to visit different fish shops when I travel!

I’m a complete noob but very serious about learning (Mariner 100g tank and lots of toys on the way). I’m in Oneonta but have ties to Albany, Rochester, and Buffalo, and Syracuse isn’t too far away. I’d be interested.

That's awesome. Is there a LFS you like? Nothing down here within an hour's drive AFAIK. So far I've purchased everything online. Somehow I feel ashamed to admit this, but I haven't set foot in a LFS yet! I'm learning everything from YouTube, which is an autodidact's dream. I have all sorts of college degrees, but I swear a deep dive into a subject on YT can sometimes surpass months of formal education (depending on the available content and the viewer of course).
