I’m looking for feedback from people that have micro dosed Reef Flux Fluconazole in their sps tanks. Did the bryopsis go away? Did one treatment work? Any harm to corals? Did your nutrient consumption change? Did your macro algae survive? Did you stop filtration, skimmer, uv or anything? When did you restart filtration or perform water change? Thanks for answering any of my questions about this kind of treatment.

I really wouldn't 'micro dose' that. It is meant to be used as directed and only using a maintenance dose may set you ever farther back.
I would focus on bringing your nutrients up and removing what you can by hand until your nutrient levels are higher.

I’ll keep that in mind. Seems to be a lot of data showing it works to rid bryopsis. The “recommended” dose on the bottle looks to be for using it as intended, anti fungal.

I use 1 pill per 100gallons and it works great. My tank is all acros and not a single one looks affected. I would ONLY micro dose fluconazole. Never full dose it’s not necessary. I think a lot of people are misled by “full dose” when it comes to treating bryopsis. Full dose is for fungal infections in fish and not for enabling the mechanism that kills bryopsis and algae. Very little needed and I would almost recommend this as a maintenance protocol from time to time

Just to get clarification, what is the dose in mg for treating nuisance algae? I have some GHA cropping up after treating dinos in my sps tank (still small) and want to deal with it timely as it continues to drop my nutrients below optimal.

I’ve already answered this but here’s a link to the thread that inspired me to try micro dosing this stuff instead of blindly dosing fluconazole. It works just as good without destroying sps. Tuxedo urchins will significantly speed up the process. Algae should be on its way out after about 2 weeks. Macro will be fine. Some people report 1 pill per 1000 gallons. You don’t need much
