Hello all, back with another problem i have had 2 monti's so far and i have no clue what's going on, i first bought one red monti but it came in rough shape and i knew that i had no chance saving it as my tank is about 6 months old and it was not stable so it was not a great rehabilitation centre for rough looking corals, but after the heatwave in the UK i have managed to gain back stability and i have decided to try again with a monti, so i get the monti in the post and i put it in my tank but i have put it in low flow and low light to aclimate it , after a week i have seen clearly that it has started to strip in places that had lower flow of water so i have decided to move it into a better flow but that meant that i had to put the monti on the top of my scape as that had the best flow up there, it gave it strong indirect flow but it was also directly under my light which i guess gave it too much light too quick , over time algae started to appear on the skeleton so i have decided to dip the coral in 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide for 5 mins it got rid of the algae and it showed me that the monti was pale almost white so im guessing that its going to die. And i'm really not understanding what im doing wrong i do have some alk problems when its going up and down i cannot find a balance of this parameter and its driving me insane i have a dosing pump that doses alk, i dose 2.1 ml a day split into 5 times i think its 0.3 ml every couple of hours. im currently struggling with lot of my corals my favia which is almost gone, my duncan which i have already posted on here and now my monti no clue what's going on help would be really appreciated. TIA
