Wow. I've never see one quite like that. Is it branching like a monti digi? Whatever type it is, it's definitely on some sort of PED!

Yeah, montipora digitata they all looking like that

What does it look like under white light and the polyps closed up?

Same as most montipora I guess

There’s a pic just taken in the sump of one that suffered some STN can’t be really bothered cutting bits of it. But same PE if you know what I mean. The Forest fire got it yesterday that’s y I was looking at the PE difference.

Other in display that been affected by the STN it was a beautiful before the spike

It’s easy to tell from bone structure that it’s a digitata

Now I can tell from a distance. Couldn't tell the structure underneath all those polyps. Those close up/macro shots under blues make it look very different.

It had to be a close up as all branches been affected by the alkalinity spike

lol no that is NOT normal. I can't help but wonder if it's a defensive reaction to the algae.

They like that all over the tank, am getting suspicious about the high po4
