So long story short I need to move out of my current living situation. This is an in-between period for us before we move into a more stable living situation. I have a 75g and a 32Biocube that both need to be moved. I'm curious how to accomplish this and whether or not I need anything to heat or aerate the water for the 2 hour drive to our new place.

Any ideas or someone who's experienced this would be of great value.....

Thanks again,
Wesman

You should hookup a battery or get a car invertor or something for a small heater and a airstone for that distance.

2 hours alone isn’t a big deal. But it will take you much longer than that to break down and setup your systems. So I would agree with a battery powered airstone, depending on your stocking level. A heater would be nice. I would get a car inverter power outlet for the trip.

If it were me, I would probably break them down and move the tanks separately, since one of them is decently large tank. You’ll need to remove corals, siphon out the water (try to save as much of it as you can), catch fish, take out some sand (save it to seed), consider dumping the rest of the sand (usually a ton of detritus in it), remove your rock (keep it moist), remove equipment. Transport all of above to new location. Setup the tank. Have separate bins for corals, fish, sand and rock. What a headache.

Good luck.

Buy a brute trash can with wheels and save your water and live rock in it. Use a 5 gallon to store your fish with an air stone. Everything should be fine for a few hours.
