I was just wondering if anyone has tried to, or knows what would happen if you did try to, place different varieties of tenuis close together?

When they grow would they fuse together to create one large multi colored colony, something like a tenuis garden?

I guess the same question applies to other species of acro as well.

I only have a 10g nano so space is limited and there are a few tenuis that I'm interested in. Usually I try to give each frag at least a little space, but since they'd be the same species I was just wondering what would happen if I placed them real close.

I might try it. Thinking a Walt, an SC OP, and maybe 1 other.

If you do. please post an update! Preferably, with pictures ;)

I think even if they didn't "graft" they'd probably co-exist just fine. As long as you are sure they are both tenuis and not mislabeled.

I have a rock with many tenuis frags on it currently, my “tenuis island”. I’m hoping when they grow out and into each other everything will be ok, not looking to graft or anything. I do have a WD, HW, SCOP, RROP, CRT Starkiller (I think it’s a tenuis), Tyree Superman, and a couple more that I placed within a few inches of each other, but time will tell what will happen!
