I wanted a kole too, but may wait to see if prices settle a bit. I don’t know much about anthias but clowns are very hardy and good to get your qt regimen down with.

Getting there. Little did I know qt tanks should be 10 feet from dt, sump, etc. Looks like I may be building another room in the near future :)

My return pump arrived today! I ordered the heaters and controller for the system, as well as the pump for my water mixing station as it was on sale today. Going to try to finally get my sump built and also the mixing station this week. Hope everyone's weekend is going well :)

The mixing station is nearly complete, just need to wire a plug and test it out! We will be moving the tank in tomorrow, getting pretty close :)

What kind of water change schedule are you planning? On my 75 I was doing about a gallon 3-days a week. Not sure yet what to do on my new tank. I haven’t added any additional livestock yet so won’t change anything. When I start adding more fish, I think I’ll bump it up to four or five days a week. My water storage is pretty limited; just a 15 gallon RODI jug and 15 gallons of saltwater is a 20 gallon aquarium.

@benapilot Thank you! I will most likely be painting the pipes blue to make it look a bit better. As for the awc schedule, I thought about changing out a bit everyday to get it close to 10% ish a week. I will slowly be working up to a heavy stocked tank so I think that will be sufficient. Still deciding on skimmers

I highly recommend a Lifereef skimmer. They’re set and forget- not finicky about water level, and rarely overflow. Pricey, but worth it!

Some toys for the new tank arrived today! I also got supplies for another qt setup, heaters for the mixing station and a new rodi system to replace my smaller unit. Very excited :)

More sand & Life Rock! Ordered some arches and a bunch of salt as well. Just a few more weeks :)

Got the 6 stage rodi mounted and ready to be hooked up to the mixing station. Leaving room for a booster pump as I think my pressure is right at the low end of what is recommended. I will know tomorrow now that this unit has a guage.
