My experience with too much red lighting

you kind of miss 95% of what I was getting at..
to sum it up .."PAR" at the surface of the ocean can be 2000+
Out of that red composes 500 PAR
At 10M deep red is roughly 1/2 of that 250 PAR

How much PAR in a reef tank w/ 2 3W red LED's?
To put it another way.. @ 10 Meters corals see a **** load of red light..;)
 
Depends upon your reference for the breakout of spectra. I used an ancient college biology text for that chart.

No problem. This is what happens when I join in the middle of a thread. I just saw blue-green and green-blue and to me it is the same so asked.
 
Actually they are different, one is more green, the other one is more blue
