Hey everyone
I am most likely going with the water box nano with the new radion gen 5 led.. I’m going to be growing some SPS so I want the water to be as pristine as possible. I want to run a skimmer and was wondering what models would work .. maybe hang on the back skimmers and whatnot if it can’t fit in the filtration. This is my second tank but first nano so interested in your opinions. Thanks !

I can’t speak on the 9001 but I hated the 9004 and the 9002. They are a pain to clean and noisy. That said, they do work. I really liked my Aquamaxx NF-1 it was silent easy to clean and did just as good of a job as the 9004. I think the Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 is the king of hang on skimmers but I have no experience with it. If you can shoehorn a Cadlights PLS-50 Elite V2 in there (doubtful, but I managed to squeeze one in my IM 30L so maybe?) they are fantastic and would allow you to transfer if you upgrade tanks.

I would NOT recommend the Icecap Nano skimmer, just, just, don’t.

I just ordered myself a Tunze 9001 dc model for my 10g standard build. I’d recommend the dc model over the ac model just for the finer tuning ability.
