Need advice on lights.

I am upgrading from 65 gallon. Right now I have 2 AI prime HD on the tank. Going to 120 gallon 4x2x2. What should I do for the lights. Would 1 or 2 more prime HD work or should I go in a completely different direction and upgrade to something else? Mixed tank right now.

I was running four Vegas on a 120g and switched over to a a T5 hybrid and love it. I wish I would have just started with it. By no means am I saying four Primes wouldn't work. But if you're thinking about a complete change, consider adding some bulbs and supplement with the LED's. If you're handy, you could probably fashion a hybrid fixture yourself and utilize your Primes.

I appreciate the input. I originally looked at T5 but the decision came down to not having to replace bulbs and so I ended up with LED.

I love the ability to be able to control the lights that you get with AI primes but I am thinking to be able to get that kind of control I will need to upgrade to 2 AI hydra 52. And that is 1200 bucks on top of everything else I am having to upgrade right now going from 65 to 120. Also looked at arctic t247 but seems like controls are a bit difficult. But for the price of 400 for 2 fixtures I know it's the best bang for your buck. But adding 2 more prime HDs would be the same cost.

Just not sure what to do right now.

Adding one or two more is a very fine idea. Especially if you like them.
Two would be best.

My favorite acro dom tank has 6 kessil 160s.
