need apex help very confused

with the apex vdm module can i use it stand alone to control ai hydra non hd lights or do i need to use it thru an apex controller?

You have to use the apex controller. Modules are nothing without the brain.

ok, i found a apex light controller but it doesnt come with any cords. do i need to buy a power supply? if i get the controller, would i just hook the vdm to controller and controller to computer?
