I was thinking of sticking them to the clear cover and put the cord out the back through the open compartment.

not the the sticky on the back of these will hold though.

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Yup, it's a 4' strip of lights that I can cut where I want. The back is a peel tape like sticky. I don't think it will hold itself with just the tape. My husband said to use a few drops of super glue.

I think the double sided tape will work.
Use rubbing alcohol on the surface of the fixture to prep it.
That will do the trick :-)

I Velcro anything I can around the tank that's not in the water. Velcro sticks to anything, and the hood would protect it from salt and humidity.

Is this too bright for a moon light? I could cut a couple inches off and make it shorter. I really like it though.

So...if the double sided tape doesn't hold, and my strip falls into my tank, will my fish get zapped?

Could I unscrew the cover over my LEDs and tape them in there? Or will the wires get pinched when I screw the lid back on? It also might not seal right and let moisture in.

I'd find a way to put them under the splash guard. As far as the wires, you can probably fit the extra wire where the other wires come out of the hood. If there was a gap maybe you could seal it with silicone. I don't think they'll last long if they're not under the hood.

I will try under the splash guard, my husband was talking about using a silicone.
Thanks

I took the splash guard off. I cut the strip a little to fit better. Put it all back and now I'm wondering if it's a bit bright. Now that I think of it, my last tank only had 2 tiny LED moon lights.

What could go wrong if my moon lights are too bright?

I don't think mine has a dimmer. It does have a fade button, but it just goes tnrough all the colors, doesn't make it any dimmer. I have just been turning them off before I go to bed. I turn the moon lights on when I get up around 7, then the real lights on around 9. I run those lights for avout 7 hrs then switch back to the moon lights. It seems to be working.

Thanks

Ah ha! Genius. I pressed one, then the other, but nothing seemed to happen. So I just went and checked it out and sure enough if I KEPT pressing it, they did dim.

Thankyou :D
