If I got the sandline right, I really like it.

Been lurking on the forum for a while and finally made an account to get some help while I am waiting on my drill bits and overflow to come in. I figured I would go ahead and try and figure out how my aquascape would go. The tank is a 150 tall so the plywood is the width and the cardboard behind is the height. I have spent probably the better part of 3 days playing with and moving around this is what I’ve come up with that fits and isn’t terrible. Would love some help or ideas
anybody may have

So I’m having trouble figuring out my lagoon scape but anything over 15lbs seems like overkill! Can you guys help me out? I messed with the pump a little and all the debris is flowing, I’m just not sure it would be good long term.

Also this is just a 25g.

My first real try at an aquascape in a large tank, it's a red Sea 750xxl with a little over 120lbs of real reef rock. I've been told I need more height from a friend, any other recommendations?

Thats awesome! IMO Every time I build a scape for more height I end up taking rock back out because it looks like a pile. Lol I really like what ya did!

I have been playing with rocks off and on but never that happy with them since the spring.
Here is what I got so far. I’m going to glue small prices for better over hangs.
I have the tall structure moved towards the middle because I’m worried that the MP40 will have to much flow.
I wanted more minimalist but hard to have a lot of hiding spots for fish. Hoping for good flow and it will have a sand bottom.
Please help and I can take criticism
Tank is about 4’wide 2’ depth 21” tall

I like it @Crabby48. I think these kind of multi island aquascapes can work well. You have different heights and interesting shapes. Flow should move through it well.

I watched the short video on small cubes and it looks like I may have made all the classic mistakes lol. I have a 50 gallon SC aquariums cube. 24"x24x20".

I kind of like the way it looks but I'm open to suggestions. I plan on FOWLR for at least a year. May try to get into corals after a year or so but not really concerned about that right now.

I'm at a loss. My wife set this up and even tho I didnt like it I didnt argue with her. Now she hates it. I want to redo the whole thing but have no idea of what direction it's a bow front. I'm thinking a big cove on the right side of the tank and maybe some single smaller pieces on the left but I'm lost completely. Lost of different designs out there that I like. I think I may would like some ledges and caves tho. Could you possibly give me a rough outline of what you would do

I had to tear down my rocks to get out a dead fish and decided I might as well glue everything so its more stable but I want some advice on how to rearrange everything. A suggestion would be to put smaller rocks over the two gaps on top of the rocks. This would create swim throughs and have a more natural look to it. I personally am a big fan of keeping a natural look, but at the end of the day you and you’re wife are going to be the ones looking at it everyday. Have fun, and play around with the different structures. That’s the beauty of a reef tank, it doesn’t have to be perfect [emoji3]

I think it would look better if you simply took some rock out. I know you’re trying to cover the overflow, but it just looks unnatural stacked up like that and you probably don’t need that much for bacteria surface area. If you do, throw it in your sump.

I’d try to make some more room between the rock and front glass too.

Your rocks might be a little too large for your tank size, and they might lay out better if they were smaller. A chisel and hammer could easily remedy that.

Then, I’d try to create two separate stacks so you don’t have the wall look.
