Never seen anything like this before. Center frame. Looks like a long string stuck to a rock but the string is full of debris. First thought was spaghetti worm,but ever seen one do that.

Thanks for the tip! Is there anything to worry about if there is one?
They can spread and be everywhere. There are people that say they irritate coral.

If you want to get rid of it you can plug it’s tube with gel super glue and that will kill it since it can’t get out to feed.

So I figured out exactly what it... unfortunately it was one of my massive fan worms expelling its innards. The LFS must have damaged it when they pull it from the tank.
