Rev, that is one clean looking tank. I love the simplicity of the stand, so nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait to see it with water in it.

Great to see the stand and tank made it in the house Rev! Really is a great looking set up. Can't wait to see your light stand set up. And of course anxious to see that bad boy with water and live stock! Great build man!

Miracle did a great job. I would hard plumb it. In my opinion, hard plumbing is more clean. I like to use the spa pvc when your hard plumbing doesn't line up just right, and it is a life saver. Also like using a small piece (6'' to 12'') on the intake and output when plumbing in a return or close loop pumps to minimize vibration.

Agreed, I would hard plumb it using PVC and quick disconnects at the back of the tank and also right above the sump unless you can easily disconnect the fittings from the sump.

I am wondering if the left connector is for a remote fuge discharge?

I just plumbed it easy and nothing special.

Update!

The rack is done and is being shipped. Hopefully it will be here next week and I can finish the tank! WOOT!

I have to paint the aluminum the color of the stand.

Here are the pieces when it is apart.

Here it is when I have to bring the light up high to work in the tank or whatever.

Well BIG problem with the light rack. Looking at the pics I noticed that the rack didn't look like it would extend far enough over the 36" wide tank. I contacted the builder and he informed me that he was under the impression it was for a standard 50g tank. So that being said, back to square one.

Ok I need your help. I need a light rack fast. I want something that is modern looking and low profile. Any ideas?

Why not just hang it from the sealing, I used a couple of toggle bolts, put a couple eye hooks in them, got some round stock, drilled a couple holes into it, paint it and hung the light from the bar.I think it looks clean and modern.
