Like everyone knows reefing is addicting… this is my third attemp with saltwater. Currently have a lps 6 gal pico that’s 2 months old. I’m attempting an sps dominant tank. I will be doing a fishless cycle and will be adding ammonia.
Current build:
Filtration: Fluval 207 canister with seachem matrix, I will be adding brightwells no3 x port cubes when tank cycles
flow: maxspect 4K gyre(in the works)
lighting: Kessil a360x with Wi-Fi dongle (in the works)
bio supplements: fritz 9 to start, microbacter7 when cycle is complete, and I’m still debating on other products (any input is greatly appreciated)
heater: Fluval mirrored 150w
ato: 5 gal IM container with prism controller(still debating)
this is tentative and subject to change I currently only have filtration and heating(enough to cycle tank) there’s enough clearance all around the aquascape for flow and maintenance. I’m also adding macroalgae as soon as the tank cycles even tho macros can absorb nh3 directly (worked great on my pico for buffering nutrient spikes I have to over feed sometimes, Lmk what you guys think.
