Welcome to R2R. You have some good answers above;) How old is your system?

Good morning...the tank's several years old. Got away from vacuuming sand bed...added some lost sand and have started better husbandry. Added 3 2100gph wave pumps on the loop system. Had Hydor Koralias but weren't synched. I'm hoping more flow will help with detritus.

Have you considered using seeded filter media in your sump. In my case I tried several different ways to tray to get my nitrates down and finally started using a filter media and my nitrates are where they should be.:) I just run the media in my filter tray and change 10% every 2 months.

Running NPX Bioplastics in my phos reactor...only been going a couple of weeks. Is that the same thing as seeded filter media? Thx!!

Look at Siprox or life bio fil easier to run and I have had better results and faster then when I ran bio pellets:)

Great advice, thank you. So many different products...hard to find out what works best without a forum like this.
