New Tank gitters

I think my head might spin off with system ideas. I've got a new 220l tank plus sump arriving in a few weeks, my latest idea is to make a turf scrubber I'm a little worried about getting it all cycled and running well in the early days without a skimmer I've had advice to use a filter sock whatever I do. I'll be using fake live rock and hopefully seed it with some rock has mushrooms etc on it. Would also like a fuge with deep sand in the sump. I've had a marine aquarium 15 years ago but I made a lot of mistakes with equipment. So far I have a TMC reef pump 4000 for return and scrub feed, d-d 300w heater and controller and a possible weak link of fluval 3.0 marine led 46w main lights and possible purchase of a cheap twin plant light 18w from Amazon for the scrubber. Any advice will be a big help.
