Hey everyone - I finally made an account after years of being in the hobby. I just experienced a catastrophic failure of my Red Sea 425 XL causing me to lose all of my coral and fish & costing me thousands in clean up and replacement. I’m devastated, but don’t want want to give up. I was growing coral to give back to labs and marine biologists for research. I have more info on this on my social media accounts.

Now that this has happened, I am in the works on starting over. Wish me luck.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!

I'm sorry about your tank breaking. Thats horrible. I'm glad you are going to start again though! A fresh start can be an awesome opportunity.

Sorry to hear about your tank failure. I'm also running a 425xl and worry constantly. No evidence of any issues with my system yet.

I'm sorry that happened. You are in the right place for support though. I hope to see you regroup and overcome this tragedy. Welcome!
