I am little late to this thread, but would 2 of these lights be enough for a 105 that is 48x24x20.The tank has about 20 RBTAs and LPS on the sand bed.I have been using Reefbreeders Photon 48 inch.It looks to me the light is losing power.Started using the light in 2014 when they come out.I ran two on a 120-gallon reef for months. Corals were/are growing and colorful.
I made this video last year on how to use the controller.
I think 3 would be a better choice since your tank is heavily stocked.I am little late to this thread, but would 2 of these lights be enough for a 105 that is 48x24x20.The tank has about 20 RBTAs and LPS on the sand bed.I have been using Reefbreeders Photon 48 inch.It looks to me the light is losing power.Started using the light in 2014 when they come out.
I have heard both ways.Still trying to decide on how many.I think 3 would be a better choice since your tank is heavily stocked.

I am hoping to hear from other users on that size of tank and corals. To see how they like the lights.I think 3 would be a better choice since your tank is heavily stocked.

Thanks for your input.Think i will start with 2 and go from thereI recently added one of these to a nano. You may be able to get two for your 48" tank and have some par drop around the edges, but if you want a more even distribution across the tank then IMO three lights are appropriate.
