Yesterday it truly shrunk up for the first time. My lights haven't come on today yet to see if its better (was a little better last night)

Wondering if this is normal.

hi,looks to be heathy ,normal to open and close :)
 
might consider removing from disk,placing on rockwork ,lower in tank facing up at 45 degree angle,they like to lay out,not hang in mid water:)

Thank you. I'm being extra worrisome because I have high phosphates in my tank and have been bringing it down with phosphat-e and am worried about reactions from corals. Yesterday it went from like the pictures above to basically all I could see where the tentacles no joke. I was horrified lol
 
hi,should not be a problem ,as long as opening and closing on reg basis
