The November POTM subject is Gobies and Blennies. The competition is for the best image with either a goby or a blenny as the dominant element. If you enter an image, it must be one that you made. Enter your images in this thread. Deadline is November 15.

Please note that the longest side of your image is limited to 800 pixels. Your image will not be included in the voting thread if its longest dimension is greater than 800 pixels.

This won't be a winner for the photo quality, but I still want to share every chance I get--this was taken in a tide pool at Garachico, Tenerife in the Canary Islands November 2010. The blennies and shrimp were not even nearly shy, as you can see they are inches from my hand. I came home and sold most of my freshwater fish and supplies, and started a saltwater project. Something I'd always wanted but was afraid. These fish gave me the determination to do it.

If me entering prevents others from doing so, I'll withdraw. The last two or three times I've entered, I've not been close to winning so I've felt comfortable participating. I want participation in the monthly competitions much more.

BTW, thanks for the compliment about my images.
