Hello. I bought a orange rim plate about 6 months ago.
It's healthy, but has turned completely orange and lost all of its green.
Is this a common with the multi-colored plates?

Thanks.

As with some corals, the zooxanthellae algae that gives coral its color, will color morph due to its water parameters and/or light spectrum available to them from what they were use to.

Thanks for the info. I’m definitely running a different light than the LFS had it under and curious to see where this plate levels off.

Your welcome,
Some corals stay relatively stable in color regardless of change, others can change drastically. In your case, the base was orange to begin with. probably why it all turned orange.
