We are slightly new to the reef thing. We inherited this 225g tank from my parents about 3 years ago and decided to turn it into a saltwater aquarium. After about 1.5 years we decided that we wanted to venture into the reef side of a tank so we did. Here's what we had when we first started adding corals.
225 gallon tank, 72"Lx24"Dx30"T
2 overflows and returns on back
15 gallon Wet/Dry sump style filter with Bioballs
72" current compact fluorescent bulbs 4x96w 2 daylight 2 actinic
RedSea 300 gl Prizm Pro Skimmer (hang on)
3 sets of Powerbrite LED's
Hydor Koralia Pump
Here's a picture of the tank before upgrades. I'll upload some other pics of the corals and fish before we upgraded our equipment shortly.
