I have a 25 gallon all in one tank.
I have 38 corals not including the mushrooms that split.
I have 2 kessel a160tuna blues at 30% power and all blue. One AI nero 3 on wave mode at 30% power and two return pumps. One Bubble Magus mini q protein skimmer. Also have a cheato growing in the back chamber.
I use seachem fusion part 1 and 2, I dose 5.2mls part 1 (calcium) 9mls part 2 (alkalinity).

My current parameters
ALK 8.0-8.5
Calcium 410
Phosphates 0.06
Nitrate was 0 but haven’t tested in awhile

This tank has been set up for 6 months but half the rocks and coral came from my 15 gallon that was set up for 1 year. Both tanks did and are doing well much better now in the 25g. Corals are growing and demanding more dosing. Here are a few older images. The birdsnest growth is in one month. And the last photos are from the 15g not all the corals made it over but that small triangle frag is the cyphastia that has grown greatly.

So I would like to hear about other’s experiences with nano tanks how much do you dose, how many corals, what equipment you use ect. And any comments about my tank would you consider this a heavy stocked tank?
Also include photos of your nano tanks.

That’s awesome cool to see other people jam packing the tanks how much 2 part are you dosing. I see a good bit of sps how is the growth. Also how long have you been keeping corals? I started my first ever salt water tank after years of fresh water 1 1/2 years ago. Immediately I became addicted to the corals.

I just started a 20G AIO , but I have pics of my past tank 40b if that is considered nano lol
Welcome to r2r you’ll find we are all addicted to corals
Wow that tank looks great how old was it? And what was your experience with corals touching? And how did you get your clown to host the anemane or how long did it take.

Thanks man, it was about 1.5 years aged in that pic. You have to be selective , most of my corals were LPS/ softies. I had some SPS near the top, the most aggressive coral to me was the torch - it would kill some zoas now and again. For the most part I think lots of carbon / ensuring corals are healthy goes a long way. It also helps not getting corals with long sweepers

For the hosting of the anemone , iPad against aquarium glass showing clowns hosting anemones for 8 hours. It actually worked for me before they were homeless lol

Welcome to R2R - absolutely love the look and coral selection - keep up the great work! Yes, seeding rocks from another tank is the way to go - we used to do this in the old days and avoid all the uglies!

I’m beginning to dig nanos — super easy to take care of. I started an IM 25gal tank a few months ago with all LRs from another tank with just macros and DSB so super low maintenance!

Are those carpet nems? They look great. And it’s so funny we were just talking today about when we get a bigger tank turning the 25 into a mushroom tank.

Yes - it’s my carpet / mushroom tank! The first two carpets are blue & pink Haddoni’s. The third carpet is a possible Gigantea with all the attributes of a Haddoni but with shorter tentacles. There are 2 other (bleached) Magnifica’s and 1 CSB RBTA. So yes, it’s an anemone nano tank! ;) It’s a little tight rn so I might need to move them eventually.

Mushrooms are cool. Good luck with yours!
