Got the ATO working well tonight and saw it pumping which was cool.

Reattached my thermometer and hopefully it stays out this time. Also got my best full tank shot yet. Next upgrade will ether be a Red Sea 600 skimmer or AI prime fuge also probably going to reefstock Sydney on the weekend so might pick up some nice frags or somthing

Im worried about the green ricordia but it seems to be improving hopefully it pulls through

got some very sad news I'm not sure why ill do some extensive testing on Friday (not today but tomorrow) but my torch, stylophora and acorpora have died all seemingly overnight first the torch and a few days later the corpora and stylophora. (torch is still putting up a fight)
I don't know what caused this but I suspect something happened with parameters it was too quick for pests or disease my montipora also seems to have been damaged this morning with two small white spots appearaing.
Im going to test my water and rescape on Friday to see what caused this and prevent the hammer from stinging anything more and give any remaining sps more light

Note: I will also seperate the fire goby's since im taking apart the aquascape and put the anemone and clownfish in a breeding chamber and try introducing the mandarin to a smaller jar to feed out of (other fish could get in the one I tried recently)

I made a thread for the "crash" https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/is-this-the-beginning-of-the-end.645120/

Since last update I tested the water and got these parameters
Temperature 27 degrees Celsius
Salinity 1.027
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
pH 8.0
Calcium 450-500
Alkalinity 8.4
Magnesium 1800 (didn't have time to retest before work)
No copper as all my inverts are fine

I rescaped the tank to avoid my hammer stinging anything else and my mandarin is in the sump now so I can fatten him up
image.jpg

I'm ordering some white worms tonight

I think I found some baby abolonies and a chiton in my rockwork so they are in the Refugium now

There where still some bristleworms I found but I couldn't find them a second time to kill them

I also reduced my lighting incase yh corals bleached and got a melenarus wrasse who is still camera shy incase it was a pest that hit my coral. My lobophillia seems to be coming back from the dead

I did another 20% water change today and I haven't seen any more negative effects so I think it's safe to say we are past the worst of it touch wood.

I also added fluval carbon to try clean up the water but I'm not sure how well it will do in just a bag.

New additions:
Melenarus wrasse. He is still camera shy so I haven't been able to get a good photo of him but he is settling in well and surprisingly picked at some nory today, he is still sleeping in

Yellow tang (tiny) I got him to control algae and how beautiful he looks, I know he will outgrow the tank but since he is so small and I'm planning a upgrade it should be okay, worse case I have to give him back to LFS, maybe we can put him in one of the displays till I upgrade. He came into LFS yesterday and is already eating so he will put weight back on quick. I saw him eat brine, mysis and Nori today and he was King of the tank within 5 minutes (previous king coral beauty swam up tried to intimidate him then yellow chased him away after 2 minutes) I also drip acclimated him for a hour

Now for everyone's faveroute part photos:

I saw the mandarin eat some frozen mysis thismorning and he is occasionally wandering into the jar to look at the food in there but seems content to just look but not eat as of now. He has gained some weight but still not healthy Imo

(my method of assessing how healthy mandarins are is the length between the front fin and the point where the line down their side is no longer visible. The shorter the better, if it hits their back tail they die ime. Mine is about halfway and going up.

The yellow tang has put on some weight aswell but it and the wrasse are still very camera shy unfortunately. My wrasse also decided to beat the **** out of one of my nassarius snails but it lived and is in the refugium now

Tang is settling in well, no more fights with coral beauty and is putting on weight.
image.jpg

Mandarin seems to be putting on weight but is often hiding behind my bio balls and chaeto.
Montipora seems to be recovering
image.jpg

Seriatopora seems a lot happier

Larger fire goby is back out but more timid than he used to be

Did a 20% water change today and got some lobster eggs for the mandarin to see if he would eat those, he seems to be interested in them didn’t see him eat them though

My bta has continued to be a pain in the *** he climbed into my overflow and I had to move him out but he hasn’t left his new spot all day so hopefully he stays put
image.jpg
(anemone ft seriatopora closed for the night)

Clownfish are also exploring more hopefully they find the anemone

Got some good news and some bad news

Bad:
Melanarus wrasse got a wound somehow but should be okay

Good: my anemone split so I might be able to sell half back to my boss and the original half hasn’t wondered around the tank so it’s finally gonna stay put I think

Some new photos:

Yellow tang seems to have fought of ick and given it to the blenny, blenny has a mild case I don't think medication is nessacary yet.

I rearranged the sump so the skimmer and refugium swapped places to reduce noise.

I put all the dead coral back in the refugium, I moved the lobo up to the DT but it died again.

I got a small green Digi frag today and took the die off, off the montipora. I need to get some coral glue tonight though.

Yellow tang has also put on weight but from some angles still looks underweight, plans for the bigger tank changed but are still in motion.

I tried to get the mandarin to eat live white worms but it didn't see them before the wrasse swam into a tiny spice jar and ate them.
