Which reefbars do you have?

Hey Martin:
I am using SB Reefbar Blue 36" bars.
They are only running 50% now, they ate fairly strong.

Really digging my "Lulu's Blue" milli lately. In early October, I noticed a couple of branches beginning to shoot. 4 months later, 2 nice branches, one of which has 5-6 branches starting, so hopefully in 4 more months, I will see a mini-colony :)

Ah yes, the classic Perry's Rising Phoenix. Looks like she's trying to do a little Rainbow Splice impersonation there along the base. Start the bidding at $100 per polyp!

Yeah you noticed that freaky stripe too, it just keeps getting nicer, now some morphed white tips too, not necrosis lol.. I believe it morphed due to a near death scenario, whatever lineage it was, suffice to say its no longer the same coral, looks wise . I would love a species ID, maybe I can get @C. Eymann to stop by?

That stripe is pretty cool, I like how it has different color polyps in the stripe.

This coral is special to me, here it was shortly after I found it behind rock during a rescape, I chucked it to the back of the tank, as it was basically dead, and didn't want to look at it anymore, hence Scott's claimed naming :) Here it was in August 2020

Believe it or not, I am only scared to cut because it may grow faster ;) Luckily, I have a nice area for it to grow out. When I decide to cut down the road, I will put you in line, after Scott and I work out his claim at a complimentary cut :) Only drawback is shipping, I have sent shrooms, but not acros, YET :)

Thinking it’s Red Planet. No matter how many new corals come in a take the spotlight this one still holds a top spot, imo.

I had a small colony a few years back that got patches of green in the tips, and the base had patches of solid red like yours but less vibrant being on a vertical wall. It’s a great piece to have.

Here is what is throwing me off. My old RP in a top down, bottom middle pic. But.... You very well may be right, it's not getting as much light as in previous tank. Thanks for looking in and offering a hand :)

I would have guessed red planet too, except the original branch structure of the frag looks almost like the species in pink lemonade. The branches are a bit finer at the tips, but I guess we'll find out what it truly looks like in the future. Regardless, would be honored to have it in my grow out eventually :)

Beautiful, why I still consider it one of the best. It’s definitely a piece with many faces in different conditions. I’m sure with time it will become more apparent what it is

The original frag, before it's decline, looked like a raspberry nasuta. PL is a nasuta. Oddly, the frag was glued down as if it was always going to be a table, most people mount the cut branch standing vertical, not horizontal. I don't see this often anymore, likely due to industry standard frag sizes... hmmm...
