Does any one know what these are? The first one just showed up, but the second one is mostly in my sand but since I have been slowly removing it I have been seeing it them a lot more.

Those are a good sign. They are spaghetti worms. I have them all over the place. They are trying to find a new home since you are removing the sand.

Thanks guys thats what it looked like to me, just wanted to make sure, been removing most of my sand slowly and been seeing a lot of stuff that I don't see that often.

LOL I know that looks bad but I usually keep my glass very clean, that's one thing that drives me crazy is dirty glass, but my Wellso gets to big for where it is at now and it's up against the glass and some rocks, so I cant get to clean right there that often. Do you think I should move it? Just didn't want to stress it it seems to be doing great where it is at.

One thing you could do with the Wellso ... with open palm, with four fingers ... spread two fingers on each (left & right) side ... grab the underside and gently move it aside. I have two of them and they not as sensitive to it being move around ... IMHO.

Removing the sand bed caused it to release a lot of stuff causing the algae to spread. You could change out your gfo and carbon also that will help some.

Don't really have an algae problem, just cant clean the glass because of the wellso. But thanks for the info. I change my carbon with water change and my gfo every 3 to 4 weeks. I also have been removing only some of my sand now over a spread of 6 weeks, just now getting on the low side. I had a supper deep sand bed lol!!!

Not all of my sand just most of it. I had an old school sand bed before, crazy deep but always been scared to mess with it. I have been slowly removing it over the last few months.
