I have PhotoShop Elements 6.0 and have figured out a lot of it. But, for those that take photos in RAW format you know that when you open the photo on the right side of the screen is where all of the levels of the photo can be corrected/adjusted.
My question is how I am able to use that same screen if I take a JPEG photo? When opening a JPEG all I can get to are the auto corrections.

I am missing something or can that correction screen only be seen when RAW fomat is used?

thats only for raw images...however i recently saw if you right clicked on the file, and go to the "open with" and you click camera raw, it opens it up and you can use the sliders...

it just doesnt have as much control as a raw image.

Junior - I appreciate the information. I thought that function might only be fore RAW format. I tried the process that you listed above, mine does not have the option to open with camera raw. I will have to see if that might be an additional program.

For what I use the photos for RAW format is too time consuming. But, when I take photos that I plan to keep I always use RAW.
