Hi,

Would anyone be able to identify this species? It’s motile, green, and oval shaped. I cultured it in standard salinity saltwater.

Other than that, I only have a Chinese name 扁藻.

Sorry for the poor quality microscopy.

Thanks,

Adam

Yep, they seem to swim in a corkscrew pattern. May I ask where you saw flagella as I wasn’t able to recognize them?

I have 3 other species as well I’ll post later if OK with you. I’m trying to culture several species to provide diversity for my tank.

There is a video and they do have flagella.

Looks like tetraselmis to me.
For some reason, I'm unable to watch the video.

By the way, I also can’t view the video on my phone after uploading. I’ll try to view it from my computer tomorrow as a test, but maybe this is the same issue you’re having assuming you were trying to access it from your phone.
