Looks great! What is your opinion on the stand? Do the center braces bother you at all?

Thanks! Luckily everything in the sump is situated to where the braces aren't really in the way.

Do the braces have to come off to get the sump out? Thanks for your time!

I guess I'm a little overdue for an update. For the most part everything is doing great...with the exception of a blasto and acan I recently lost. I'd been running an algae reactor that was keeping my phosphates and nitrates pretty low. It was doing a great job of keeping algae out of the tank. I decided to ramp it down over the last two weeks and take it offline to see if I can get those two readings up a little more...there was another acan starting to recede...we'll see if this helps it recover.

I replaced the WAVs with my MP40QDs. I'd forgotten when the WAVs get dirty they can have a tendency to vibrate which in turn caused the cords to vibrate against anything they touched outside the tank...and that you have to unplug them and pull the wires out of the rats nest every time you need to clean them. :)

Nice build! I have the same setup. I built my plumbing etc very close to how you did.

A question for you.....When just the 3 XR15's are on how much light coverage do you think there is? I am considering switching to Radion's from my ATI unity and the choice probably comes down to 2 XR30's Pro or 4 XR15's Pro. Your blue video looks like there is solid blue coverage with just the 2 XR15's. if you ran just Radion's which would you chose knowing you've seen some of the coverage in person..?

Nice looking setup. I built the same tank out and my plumbing etc.. turned out much like yours did.

Question for you... I am considering switching to all Radion's. Either 2 XR30 Pro or 4 XR15 pro... How was your coverage with just the XR15's on? The blue video looked like a nice blanket but since you have expericne with this eact tank I would like to know which route you would go. 4 15's or 2 30's?

Coverage with the 3 units are "good" so it would depend on the type of coral you plan to keep and your aquascape and plans for coral placement. PAR at the sides are fairly low. I've got them evenly spaced across the tank. On one end I've got some mushrooms on the sand and they've been doing great. Last week I moved my acans to the other side and so far they've been looking good. I've actually considered adding a 4th.

Not much going on lately...tank has been running on cruise control. I discovered some of those blue clove polyp pest things and dosed
Fenbendazole and within 3 days they were gone. Added a neck cleaner to the skimmer and installed a waste container. Also took a BRS dual reactor (GFO/carbon) to use as a CO2 scrubber. Been running a day now.

That's great. You'll love the tank. Just gotta take it nice and slow and don't may any drastic changes once it's up and going.

I think I'm long overdue for an update. I moved mid November and have been playing the waiting game to make sure everything is stable. I initially just moved the rocks into the tank so it was bare bottom. I finally got sand in it last week...so much better than going bare bottom. I had one casualty which I think was an accident. Lost my red head salon wrasse. I think he jammed himself under a flat rock that was on the bottom of the tub. He'd been out the evening before swimming around and eating like normal. Next morning when i started transferring everything to the tank I found him under the rock. Luckily I found a great replacement...picked up an orange back fairy wrasse last weekend. Only one coral had some issues...my large plate. It's lost some tissue but has been hanging in there...not sure if it'll pull through though.

Who needs a dining room when a "fish room" is all the rage these days!
